Obituary for Charles N. Sharrock

In Loving Memory of Charles N. Sharrock who departed this earth on March 14, 2019. He is predeceased by both parents and his sister Cheryl Sharrock and nephew Jerome M. Hatch.

Charles was born on May 16, 1951 to Charles Sharrock, and Harriet E. Johnson in Tarrytown, NY.

Charles was born in Tarrytown NY and raised in Peekskill, NY where he attended the Peekskill Schools. Charles enlisted in the Army in the early 70's. After completion of his military service, he returned home and began working at Con Edison for a brief time before joining the Metro North family. Charles enjoyed his job very much and he loved his crew. He started as a lineman and after so many years, he became a foreman. Charles retired in 2012.

Charles was married to the late Eleanor Newton of Peekskill NY in the early 80's which ended in divorce.

Charles loved life, family and music but his passion was fishing and he became a pro Bass Fisher. Charles was also a huge sports fan, his beloved teams were NY Giants, NY Mets and NY Knicks, a true fan to heart. Charles also was on a bowling team for many years and he enjoyed playing cards with his friends. Charles loved spending time with family and friends. He was always the life of the party. He also enjoyed his pets, Chase and Sankey.

Charles is survived by his son Charles Norrell Sharrock of Folk Polk, Louisiana, his sisters Vickie David of California, Valerie Johnson-Henry(Michael Henry) of Peekskill NY, his brother James T. Johnson Jr of Peekskil,NY, his longtime love and companion Iris Sabater, Cortlandt Manor NY and her daughter Teela Sabater Cortese(Louis Cortese), Alexia Cortese and lil Lou Cortese of Putnam Valley, NY, his life long best friends Danny Bush of Peekskill, Darryl Barber of Georgia and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
